Where is Sahil Aggarwal, a recently promoted managing director (MD) in rates trading at Morgan Stanley in Singapore? Seemingly not on the desk any more.

Morgan Stanley isn't commenting and Aggarwal didn't respond to a request to comment, but we understand that he is leaving the bank, possibly for a hedge fund.
Aggarwal's apparent exit is thought to have come as a surprise given that he was only promoted to managing director (MD) in January 2026. He is thought to be one of Morgan Stanley's top rates traders in Asia.

Funds hiring macro portfolio managers in Singapore include Balyasny, Dymon Capital Asia and Jain Global.
Aggarwal joined Morgan Stanley in 2020 and previously worked for Citi and Goldman Sachs.
