Hedge fund Walleye hired an Eisler PM, ejected a Nomura trader
Walleye, a smaller multistrategy hedge fund with $13bn in AUM can be a changeable place to work. In May, it closed a credit and commodities team. Last year, a lot of people disappeared from the London office, including the head of EMEA who'd been hired to build it out.

Change can be normal, though. Most multistrategy funds have a constant throughput of staff and Walleye, too, has comings and goings.
One of the most recent comings is from Eisler Capital, the hedge fund which is winding down after paying some handsome packages to its people while failing to generate equivalent returns. Greg Bugaj, a portfolio manager who was only at Eisler for 11 months, has just joined in New York.
Walleye is Bugaj's seventh buyside employer since 2008. Underscoring the constant churn of jobs in the hedge fund industry, Gunnar Tyler Henning, a former Nomura options trader, has also left Walleye in New York after working there for less than a year.
Other Eisler people are also getting rehoused. Andrew Benito, a former Goldman Sachs managing director who was Eisler's head of research, has joined Point72 as an economist in London.
