Ex-Goldman Sachs partner joins young private equity fund led by ex-Deutsche Bank director
Antonio Gatti is proof that it's never too late to look for an exit opportunity to private equity from banking. He made it all the way to partner before switching to the buy-side in 2020 with mid-market focused PE firm and Eataly backer Investindustrial; now he's moving again (for just the second time in his 25-year career), but he's staying in private equity.

Gatti is joining Fremman Capital, based in London, as a partner. The firm was founded in 2020 by CEO Ricardo de Serdio, an ex-Deutsche Bank director and partner of French private equity firm PAI Partners. Fremman has ~50 employees, 11 of which are partners
He spent the last five years as managing partner at Investindustrial. The fund raised €4 billion ($4.5bn) last month in a tense fundraising environment.
Before that, Gatti spent 19 and a half years at Goldman Sachs, working his way up from analyst to partner. He was made MD in 2018 and promoted to partner just one year later, serving as EMEA financial sponsors M&A head.
