Goldman Sachs MD that quit for Google returns to finance… at JPMorgan
It seems that when banking technologists quit for Big Tech, its only for a minor fling. Gleb Naumovich initially left banking for Google in 2021, now he's returning... but not the bank he first left.

Naumovich has joined JPMorgan as an MD and chief data and analytics officer in its commercial and investment bank sales team. Naumovich is a Java specialist that spent the last three and a half years at Google as a senior engineering manager, working in its infrastructure storage team.
Prior to that, Naumovich spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs, making its MD class in 2012. He seems to have spent that time as a quant in the private equity and credit space.
Naumovich's path is a mirror image of other banking technologists. Albert Eskenazi had the opposite route, leaving JPMorgan for Meta, and returning to finance with Goldman. He's now the bank's head of fixed income portfolio management technology within asset management. Others have used their time in Tech to leverage a promotion from VP to MD.
