Citi hired a top BofA saleswoman in London and is moving her to Asia
It's not always the case that people want to leave London for Asia. Witness Greg Guyett, who didn't want to go at HSBC and who managed to hang on for a bit in London instead. If you have family in Asia, though, maybe it's a bit easier.

Sophia Wang is making the trip. Wang, who has an MBA from London Business School, has been in London since 2010 according to the FCA Register. She spent most of that time at Bank of America, where she was latterly an MD in global fixed income and commodity sales. Now Wang is taking her attributes to Citi.
The FCA Register shows Wang leaving BofA in April 2026. Multiple sources say she is joining Citi in Asia with a focus on North Asian sales. Citi has not confirmed this and did not respond to requests to comment for this article. Yang did not respond either.
Citi has been building out its Asian fixed income business. Last year it hired Christoher Chan from Goldman Sachs as head of Asia north and South Markets solutions. In November, it hired multiple new FX salespeople. Wang is a major hire. Citi's existing North Asia sales team includes the likes of Chen Ni, head of FX institutional sales and Davy Tsang, head of rates investor sales.
