JPMorgan hired a top EMEA equities professional who retired 3 years ago

Antoine Bisson is back in the room. After retiring from BNP Paribas in 2022, it's understood that he's joining JPMorgan instead.

Bisson didn't respond to a request to comment for this article. It's thought that he's joining JPMorgan as head of program trading in EMEA. JPMorgan didn't respond to a request to comment either. Bisson's arrival was confirmed by multiple sources. 

Bisson has a long history in equities sales and trading. He began his career at French bank Union Europeenne de CIC in 1997 and became head of program trading for Morgan Stanley in 2000, head of execution services for EMEA at Deutsche Bank in 2004 and global head of execution at Exane in 2013. 

When Exane was acquired by BNP Paribas in 2021, Bisson became the head of cash equities execution for EMEA.  Bisson then retired a year later and Brian Gallagher got the role instead. Gallagher was then unceremoniously ejected by BNP at the end of January and has since appeared at JPMorgan in New York. Now Bisson appears to be joining JPMorgan in London. It's a small world.
