A UBS MD in Hong Kong joined Goldman Sachs in an even bigger role
UBS' assimilation of Credit Suisse is almost complete, and the bank has kept more Credit Suisse staff than initially intended. In Hong Kong, though, the bank has been losing some of its more senior managing directors who joined the bank long before the Credit Suisse people arrived.

The latest to leave is Tintak Cho, UBS' head of China real estate for lodging and leisure. He's now joining Goldman Sachs in a seemingly larger role: head of real estate for Asia excluding Japan.
He's not the only senior arrival to Goldman's APAC real estate team. In July, the bank hired ex-Apollo principal Sam Green to run its real estate investments in Australia. Goldman also notably spent $190m buying a four-star hotel in Korea, the Mercure Ambassador.
Cho spent six years at UBS, joining before the Credit Suisse merger. He's not the only UBS native to leave; in September, UBS lost its head of APAC head of flow derivatives and solutions sales, Savio Joseph, to Citadel Securities. He'd spent over 14 years at the bank. Before UBS, Cho spent eight years at Morgan Stanley, where He was latterly an executive director.
