This is where you'll find the skills shortages in London's financial services jobs market

You may think that every financial services job in London is massively over-subscribed and that no financial services job in London is crying out for people to fill it. You may think that. But you would be wrong.

We've looked at the sectors where hiring has been strongest since 2011 (based upon jobs advertised on eFinancialCareers in the UK). We've then looked at the current jobs advertised on the site within these strong sectors and identified the specific skills most in demand. And then we've looked at our CV database to establish the availability of those sector-specific skills.

At the end of this process, we can confirm that there are some definite areas of skills shortages. The problem is most acute when it comes to finding people with project management skills that can be applied to compliance and regulatory projects.

We've broken out the three stage-process below. At the bottom of this page, you will find the other areas in which skills shortages remain a problem.
