Look: two Russian banks are busy recruiting senior investment bankers
While various other banks globally appear to be warming up for another round of redundancies, Financial News points out that Russian banks are still hiring.
As we pointed out last week, Troika hired Evgeny Agesh to run its fixed income business in Moscow. Now it's also hired Dimitri Casvigny from Credit Suisse as head of industrials investment banking.
This follows Troika Sberbank's state aim of becoming the dominant force in Russia and increasing its presence internationally.
Meanwhile, Renaissance Capital, which had been making redundancies appears to be hiring too. It's recruited Irena Radman from Citi as head of distribution in the US, Robert Hope from Deutsche as head of equities strategic client coverage, Aleksander Diklich from Citi as head of international derivatives, and Maria Shatalina (a former RenCap employee) as a managing director in equity product distribution in Moscow.
