Search firm Jardine West is launched

The firm, Jardine West, will focus on placing senior City compliance and production staff, as well as supervisory analysts, who edit analysts' research reports.

Jardine plans to leave Jardine Kelso, the career guidance firm which she founded, to devote herself fully to Jardine West. She has worked as a headhunter at the Whitney Group and then at Odgers Ray and Berndtson, which she left in 2001.

West was global head of production in equity research at WestLB Panmure and while there she used Jardine's services as a headhunter. She left WestLB at the end of last year.

Jardine said many financial services firms, particularly small ones, needed to hire more compliance and production staff.
