CFSB bans poaching Morgan Stanley staff

The move follows the appointment last week of John Mack, who resigned as president and chief operating officer at Morgan Stanley in January, as CSFB's new chief executive.

It is viewed as an attempt by Mack to allay fears that he will attempt to fill Credit Suisse First Boston's trading floors with staff from Morgan Stanley, where he worked for almost 30 years.

The recruitment partners have been instructed that they cannot solicit, attempt to hire, receive the resume of, or extend an offer to, either directly or indirectly to any individual currently employed by Morgan Stanley.
