We have been mandated by a leading global investment management firm to appoint a Head of Legal, APAC. This senior leadership role offers broad exposure to private markets, investment activities, and cross-border legal matters while partnering closely with investment and business leaders across the region.

Your new role

• Lead legal support for private markets, investment management, and business operations across APAC.
• Advise on fund formation, fundraising, governance, investor matters, and alternative investment structures.
• Oversee negotiation and execution of fund, investment, and commercial documentation.
• Provide strategic advice on regulatory developments, investment activities, and business initiatives.
• Partner with senior management to deliver practical and commercially focused legal solutions.
• Manage external advisers and drive legal best practices, governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Support regional projects and work closely with business, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and other key stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• 15+ years' PQE within leading law firms, asset managers, or financial institutions.
• Strong background in private funds, alternative investments, and asset management.
• Deep knowledge of investment transactions, fund structures, and regulatory matters.
• Proven people leadership and stakeholder management experience.
• Commercially minded with excellent negotiation, drafting, and advisory skills.
• Experience partnering with senior executives, investment teams, and global stakeholders.
• Collaborative, resilient, and able to manage complex cross-border matters.
