Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced DBA Manager to lead a regional database administration team supporting business-critical platforms across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a regional DBA team, providing technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee the administration, maintenance, performance tuning, and availability of enterprise database platforms.
• Ensure database reliability, security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Drive database standardisation, automation, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with infrastructure, application development, cybersecurity, vendors, and business stakeholders to support strategic technology initiatives.
• Manage database-related projects, upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements across the region.
• Establish and maintain database governance, operational processes, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in database administration and database operations within a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Prior experience leading or managing a DBA team.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Experience supporting high-availability and mission-critical systems.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience within financial services, banking, insurance, or regulated industries will be an advantage.
