Our client is a leading asset management platform with a strong presence across Asia, managing a diverse range of ETF and index investment products. The firm continues to expand its investment risk function and is seeking a Market Risk Specialist to support its growing ETF business.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing market risk exposures across ETF portfolios and related investment products.
Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor market risk metrics, including VaR, stress testing, sensitivity analysis and exposure limits
• Perform daily risk reporting and investigate significant market movements impacting portfolios
• Partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Trading and Investment teams on risk-related matters
• Conduct scenario analysis and ad hoc risk assessments for new products and investment strategies
• Review model assumptions and contribute to risk framework enhancements
• Support regulatory reporting and internal governance requirements relating to market risk

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline
• 3-5 years of market risk experience gained within asset management, ETF providers, investment banks or financial institutions
• Solid understanding of ETFs, index products, equities, fixed income and derivatives
• Hands-on experience with risk measurement methodologies including VaR and stress testing
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in Excel and risk management systems
• FRM or CFA qualification would be advantageous
• Strong communication skills in English; Chinese language skills are a plus
