This macro trader also left Nomura but it's ok
As we noted earlier this week, some macro traders have been leaving Nomura after the Japanese bank paid bonuses at the end of last month.
It transpires that we left one senior trader off the list of departures. We understand that Bevan Harris, an executive director in interest rate derivative trading who had been at Nomura for 13 years has also gone. Harris is understood to have resigned two weeks ago. His destination is unknown.
Nomura declined to comment on Harris's exit. He's understood to have been an AUD rates trader at the bank. Nomura also recently lost Christopher Killoran, another AUD rates trader in Sydney.
These exits are manageable, though, because Nomura has also made many hires. Most notably, it hired Raghav Joshi, a senior G10 FX trader joined in Singapore from Santander in April as head of AUD and NZD rates trading. Joshi previously worked at ANZ with Anshu Sidher and Herr-Ling Yeo who both joined in recent months as Nomura's co-head of global FX and emerging markets and head of FX flow trading respectively.
Harris did not formerly work for ANZ.
