The ex-EMEA head of hedge fund Schonfeld is back, at Jane Street

Niahm Taylor has got a new job, nearly a year after she left her old one.

Taylor was formerly the head of EMEA for hedge fund Schonfeld, based in London. However, she was among the 150 people who lost their jobs at the fund after Schonfeld's tie-up with Millennium didn't work out. 

Now Taylor's back, but not at another hedge fund. She's joined electronic market making firm, Jane Street. 

Taylor is on Jane Street's London bank and broker management team. She didn't immediately respond to a request to comment.

Before running Schonfeld's EMEA office for nearly two years, Taylor spent eight years at JPMorgan as a managing director in prime and alternative sales. 

Bloomberg reported that Jane Street made $14.2bn of net trading revenues in the first nine months of last year, which was more than its record revenues for the whole of 2023.
