The curious locations where you can still apply for 2025 banking internships
If you want to do an investment banking internship, you don’t have that many options.

London and New York are cool, but very much overdone. Most of the world’s investment bankers have done their internship there – or in a city in the continental hinterland such as Frankfurt, Milan, or Houston. Hong Kong and Singapore aren’t much more interesting, either.
After all – if you’re going to spend some time learning to be a banker, you might as well do it somewhere a bit off the beaten track. Somewhere more familiar to readers of Tintin than Tatler.
If you’re interested in an adventurous internship in Latin America, try Goldman Sachs. The bank offers a number of internships south of the Rio Grande – including seasonal & off-cycle *investment banking* opportunities in both Mexico City and Santiago de Chile in Mexico and Chile, respectively (obviously).
In Asia, ironically, the bank to look at is Bank of America. BofA offers investment banking internships in a number of cities across the continent, including full-time analyst positions in Bangkok (Thailand) and Seoul (Korea), and summer internships in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Jakarta (Indonesia).
BofA also has perhaps the most interesting internship of all: an off-cycle investment banking opportunity in Istanbul, the city straddling two continents. English is essential, whilst Turkish is “a strong preference”.
There are a few others scattered around for the intrepid aspiring analyst. Barclays offers both an off-cycle and graduate program via its private bank in Monaco (although that’s a less adventurous option than others). UBS has a 2025 summer internship open in Manila (Philippines). Citi wants a full-time investment banking analyst in Taipei (Taiwan). And Morgan Stanley needs a 2025 summer analyst in Mumbai (India).
