Ex-Goldman Sachs MD who left Citadel after a year quietly came back to banking
For some banking technologists, making the eventual switch to a hedge fund is the endgame. For others, it's only a brief aside. The most recent hire by JPMorgan is an example of the latter.
Jackie Haynes has joined JPMorgan as an MD and distinguished architect for risk technology, having previously been head of trading analytics for equity quant research at Citadel. She quietly announced that she'd been working at the bank since July via social media, after leaving the hedge fund last December.
Haynes was only at Citadel for a year. Prior to that, she spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs. She joined as a VP in controllers technology in 2006 in London, and was made a technology fellow in 2013.
She made MD in 2018, becoming global head of core engineering for the bank's risk and price platform, SecDB. As an MD she's also worked in machine learning and digital asset architecture. She also served as Goldman's representative on Java's executive committee.
Citadel declined a request for comment.
