Yash Agarwal, a global equities portfolio manager who spent four years at ExodusPoint and who is thought to have been one of the fund's top equities portfolio managers in London, is understood to be joining BAM, where he will be building a team based in both London and New York City.

Agarwal didn't respond to a request to comment. Balyasny declined to comment.

ExodusPoint promoted Agarwal to partner in March 2024. His reasons for leaving are not clear, but BAM has a long history as an equities-focused fund, whereas ExodusPoint has a fixed income pedigree.

BAM's other recent hires include Dave Brodsky, a Citadel equities portfolio manager specialising in healthcare stocks. BAM is thought to be paying Brodsky $50m.
