Citadel Securities' latest recruit for this business is Clement Florentin, the former head of equity EMEA structuring and head of QIS structuring for APAC at Nomura. We reported Florentin's exit last month.
Florentin is joining Citadel Securities as head of structured solutions based in Hong Kong. He will arrive there in May.
He's Citadel Securities' latest major structured products hire in Asia. The electronic trading firm has also recruited Richard Smerin, Morgan Stanley's APAC head of equity derivatives as global head of structured products. Smerin resigned earlier this month.
Bloomberg reported a few weeks ago that Citadel Securities has doubled its Asian headcount in the past five years. Mayank Narang, Millennium's former head of Asian equities, is also joining the Asian COO team.
