A Goldman Sachs MD who joined from hedge fund Millennium went back again

Felix Bhandari has left Goldman Sachs. He's gone to hedge fund Millennium, again.

Sources at Goldman say that Bhandari, a managing director on Goldman's macro credit trading team in London, resigned last month and is currently on gardening leave before joining Millennium.

It won't be the first time Bhandari has worked for the fund. He left Millennium in Los Angeles in October 2020. He subsequently appeared at Goldman Sachs in London in August 2021.

Millennium declined to comment on Bhandari's intentions or whereabouts. The FCA Register says Bhandari is still registered at Goldman Sachs, where he is both a material risk-taker and a manager of other certificated employees.

Goldman Sachs had 542 material risk-takers in London in 2024 and paid them an average of $1.7m each, of which $698k was salary and $968k was bonus. Millennium employed 972 people in London in 2023 (the last year for which figures are available) and paid them an average of £776k ($1m) each. However, this includes all employees and not just portfolio managers, of whom Bhandari will presumably be one.

Felix was the MD for the credit derivatives Index Trading desk in London. I believe he'll be joining in a similar role at MLP
