Meet the new managing directors at Citi's investment bank
It's managing director (MD) at Citi. Paco Ybarra, CEO of the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) - Citi's investment bank - just circulated a list of 153 people who are being promoted to MD as of January 1 2021.
They include the names below in the banking, capital markets and advisory division, the markets and securities services business, and the ICG operations and technology team.
"A promotion to Managing Director is a career-defining accomplishment," wrote Ybarra in the accompanying memo. "Each of these individuals makes a remarkable, differentiated contribution to Citi, embodying our Mission of Progress by working each day to embrace our Leadership Standards and Be the Best for Our Clients. I look forward to their continued leadership and contributions in the years ahead."
In the EMEA markets and securities services business, close to 30% of the new MDs are female. -The highest proportion ever.
