The highest paying Facebook jobs in New York City

Sometime soon, Facebook is going to be doing some big hiring in New York City. Earlier this week it emerged that the social media company is negotiating space for around 14,000 employees in Midtown Manhattan, which would be a big increase from the 3,500 or so people it currently employs in an office on Broadway. 

Facebook's New York teams include the full range of software engineering and data science roles, plus product design, marketing and research. Among other things, the tech giant appears to be in the process of building out an NYC artificial intelligence team and a 'physical modelling team' to work on computer vision and team learning.

Right now, it has around around 220 open roles in NYC - far less than the 1,000+ it's advertising in Menlo Park, but this could clearly rise.

Which Facebook jobs in New York City pay the most? The H1B salary database suggests research scientists in AI are on salaries of around $190k (when hired through H1B visas). Creative product strategists can expect around $240k. One off commercial-facing roles can pay more still: Facebook's head of consumer packaged goods on a salary of $285k.

Mostly though, Facebook's NYC H1B visa hires fall into the salary parameters shown in the table below. On the H1B visa program at least, salaries over $200k are hard to come by.
