Private equity firm Metric Capital recruiting juniors in London, opens Stockholm office
London-based private equity firm Metric Capital Partners has opened its sixth investment office in Stockholm, Sweden to go along with its current locations in London, Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam and Munich. The PE firm is also actively looking to hire analysts and associates at its headquarters in London, according to a source close to the firm.
Metric Capital has hired Lars Eriksson as an investment director to open its new Stockholm office. Previous to joining Metric Capital, Eriksson spent the better part of a decade as a partner and head of European origination at private equity investor Riverside Company. Metric previously opened its fourth satellite office in Munich last year under Sebastian Reinartz, formerly of Swedish private equity firm EQT Partners.
While it’s unclear how many analyst and associate hires the firm is looking to make in London, it’s likely not eyeing anyone coming directly from university. The most recent junior additions have at least a couple years of sell-side experience working at companies like Goldman Sachs and Greenhill. A job posting from earlier this year, when the firm was looking to add seats to its new European offices, said it was looking for people with two to five years of experience working in private equity, leveraged finance, M&A or management consulting. A source said that veteran private equity recruiter Paula Ford of Essenta Partners has been mandated for the search. Metric Capital declined to comment.
