Goldman Sachs' fast track to trading jobs for female students is now open

If you're a female student at a European university, you graduate in 2021, and you're interested in a career in sales and trading, Goldman Sachs would like to hear from you.

The U.S. investment bank has just opened applications for its EMEA trading academy. Around 25 (maybe more) current students will be invited to participate in the academy, which will invove three to six months of distance learning, plus three days in Goldman's very shiny new London office - where the students participate in work shadowing, interactive trading simulations and networking sessions.

Between the days in the office, the women on the programme are assigned a mentor (usually an associate or VP level trader) to handle the distance learning. This will comprise meetings to share insights about the role and informal teaching sessions on what trading actually involves.

If all goes well, the female students will be invited to participate in fast track interviews for Goldman's notoriously competitive securities summer internships.

This isn't the first year Goldman's run a trading academy for women. The programme began with 16 students in 2017 and expanded to 26 participants last year. Previous participants were enthusiastic, describing the programme as "insightful." Past participants like Modesta Kolelyte, a student at UCL in London, are interning at Goldman this summer.

Interested female students have until 31 August to apply.
