Jefferies' head of electronic FX trading is free to have a very pleasant summer

Bryan Seegers is gone from Jefferies. As of sometime in the past two weeks, Seegers slipped away from Jefferies. It's understood that he's joining a hedge fund, although no one knows which. Before that happens, however, he's thought to be having anything from one to three months on the beach. 

Seegers was Jefferies' Global head of eFX trading, algo execution and liquidity management. When he joins the new hedge fund in the fall, it's thought he'll be doing something similar.

Leaving Jefferies is never easy. The brokerage firm has a reputation for paying large cash bonuses with punitive clawbacks attached to them, such that if you leave within 12 months of receiving a bonus you have to pay 100% back and if you leave within 25 months you have to pay back 50%. After 36 months, the payback is thought to decline to 25%. 

Seegers joined Jefferies in June 2017, so has quit 26 months after he arrived.
