Goldman Sachs made a big hire from Citi to sell its Marquee platform
Goldman Sachs has big plans for Marquee. As we reported in April, the firm describes Marquee as its, "digital store front" where clients can, "consume GS content, risk analytics, pricing data and ultimately engage with us to trade." Late last year, Goldman partner Anne-Marie Darling was put in charge of a new team selling Marquee to clients and generate new revenue models. Now it seems that Darling is making some major hires of her own.
Lauren Ash, a former MD at Citi, has just joined Goldman as co-head of Marquee sales according to her LinkedIn profile. Based in London, Ash also arrives at Goldman as an MD. She previously spent seventeen and a half years at Citi, latterly as a senior relationship manager, for EMEA markets and securities services and previously as global head of sales and marketing for fixed income indices.
Selling Marquee may be rather different to anything Ash has sold before. In March, Goldman posted a job advert suggesting it plans to make Marquee functionality and data available to clients as a subscription service. - Ash may yet be running a subscription sales team at Goldman.
