These students have already secured 2017 investment bank jobs on Wall Street
Investment banks have largely just closed their graduate programs to applications, but there are students who already have job offers secured for when they graduate later this year.
Here’s a roundup of incoming investment banking analysts in the U.S. who will join the class of 2017.
David Kim will join the financial institutions group (FIG) in the investment banking division at J.P. Morgan after graduating with a B.S. in finance and management from New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he is the president of the NYU Stern Pride Corp and participates in the Inter-Club Council. He worked as a data analytics intern at Netsertive and a summer analyst at J.P. Morgan.
Elena Sakach will join the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) group at Goldman Sachs after graduating with a B.B.A. from The College of William and Mary’s Mason School of Business, where she took part in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Women's Advisory Prep Program, the international relations club, the executive board of the women in business advisory council and the Howard J. Busbee Finance Academy. She worked as a summer analyst at National Investment Services, Wells Fargo Securities and, most recently, Goldman.
Also an incoming investment banking analyst entering Goldman’s TMT group, Katie Denton is set to graduate from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where she participates in the investment banking club, the global ambassador program and ReSource Fund and also works as a career services peer coach. She’s worked as a summer analyst and Citi and Goldman.
Edward Nwachuku will join Goldman’s financial institutions group (FIG) after graduating with a B.A. in economics from the University of Chicago, where he is a campus ambassador for Goldman and participates in varsity wrestling and the careers in business program. He’s interned at Q-Care and Artemis Real Estate Partners and worked as a summer analyst at Goldman.
William K. Smith is set to join Goldman’s corporate derivatives group after graduating with a double Bachelor’s degree in finance and political science from Tulane University, where he works as a residential adviser and Green Wave ambassador and tour guide. He plays golf and participates in the GreenBull investment club. He interned at Millstein & Co., Owl Creek Asset Management and Brava Capital and worked as a summer analyst at Goldman.
Anna Schneider will join PJT Partners after graduating with an M.A. in economics from Johns Hopkins University’s Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, where she works as a research assistant. She has interned at Fidelity Investments and worked as a summer analyst at Brown Advisory and PJT Partners.
Emily Niditch is set to join Lazard after graduating with a B.S. in corporate finance and accounting from Bentley University, where she participates in the investment group, works as a trading room analyst in the Hughey Center for Financial Services and studies Mandarin. She interned at Deutsche Bank’s asset management division and worked as a summer analyst at BNP Paribas and Lazard.
Daniel Lambert will join Lazard after graduating with a B.S. in finance and business analytics from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, where he played on the rugby team and participated in GE Capital’s freshman finance discovery program, the investment club, portfolio challenge, business sales and development club, investment banking club and S&T club. He worked as a summer analyst at Competitive Power Ventures, GE Capital and PJT Partners.
Rudolph Chiarelli will join the Americas investment banking division of Japanese bank Mizuho after he graduates with a B.S. in finance from Boston College, where he participates in the investment banking club, investment club, quantitative strategies group and finance academy. He has worked as an accounting intern at Henry Schein and a summer analyst at UBS and Morgan Stanley. He also did the Investment Banking Institute’s four-week financial modeling and valuation training program.
Thomas van der Straaten will join Jefferies after graduating with a B.A. in economics and mathematics from the University of Rochester, where he worked as a research assistant in the medical center and a teaching assistant. He interned at Signal Media and worked as a summer analyst at Jefferies.
RBC Capital Markets
Lauren Friedman will join RBC Capital Markets after graduating with a B.S. in finance and marketing from NYU Stern, where she participates in the marketing society, investment analysis group, undergraduate women in business and intramural basketball. She worked as a summer analyst at Moelis and Co. and RBC.
Also an incoming global investment banking analyst at RBC, Nicole DeTommaso is set to graduate with a Bachelor’s in economics and mathematics from Columbia University, where she is a teaching assistant. She was an extern at Capital One and EarthColor, an intern at Global Sage and Water Island Capital and a summer analyst at RBC.
Sarah Mironov will join RBC’s IBD after graduating with a B.B.A. from Michigan Ross, where she participates in the undergraduate student advisory board, Michigan Business Women, Ross Leadership Initiative Experiment and Oxford Community Council. She was a finance and supply chain intern at Bundle Organics and a summer analyst at RBC.
BMO Capital Markets
Brian Chueh served as a summer analyst at Upright Growth Fund, where he did due diligence on large-cap technology companies, Boenning & Scattergood, where he got live deal experience in M&A and debt private placement, and BMO Capital Markets, where he worked in the industrials group. He will join the latter full-time after graduating with a Bachelor of finance degree from Villanova University, where he participates in the Mergers and Acquisitions Society.
Alice Shen will join Evercore Partners after graduating with a B.S. in finance, operations, information and decisions from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, where she participates in the Students Federal Credit Union, the investment and trading group and microfinance club. She worked as a summer analyst at UBS.
Diana Wang will join Barclays’ investment banking division after graduating with a B.S. in applied economics and management at Cornell University, where she works as a research assistant and participates in the Mutual Investment Club of Cornell (MICC), 85Broads and the society for women in business. She worked as a summer analyst at Barclays.
Rhea Advani will join the IBD at Barclays after graduating from Wellesley College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management, where she is cross-registered and works as a research assistant.
