These asset management professionals recently landed new jobs in the U.S.

While 2016 has been a topsy-turvy ride for many financial services firms, top asset management shops have continued to add headcount. Here are some noteworthy recent hires at asset managers in the U.S.

Capital Group | American Funds

Heather Lord joined Capital Group as senior vice president and the head of strategy and innovation for American Funds. Prior to that, she was an SVP of strategy and client experience at Charles Schwab and a principal at the Boston Consulting Group.

Jaya Kumar was hired as the global chief marketing officer for American Funds at Capital Group. His previous experience includes UST Global, Mondelēz International and PepsiCo-Frito Lay.

Capital Group tapped Brett Hammond to be the research leader for American Funds, with a focus on active management, goals-based multi-asset allocation and long-term investing. Previously, he was managing director and the head of multi-asset applied research at MSCI and, before that, the chief investment strategist of TIAA.

Wellington Management

Gioia Dominedò was hired by Wellington Management as vice president and fixed income quantitative analyst. Previously she was senior director of structured finance research at Fitch Ratings and a real estate structured finance analyst at J.P. Morgan.

Simran Su is now an assistant vice president in the global relationship group at Wellington Management. Prior to joining the firm, she was an equity investment analyst for the Surveyor Capital unit at Citadel and, before that, an investment banking associate at Barclays.

Wellington hired Harry Zihua Pan as a trading operation analyst after he graduated with a M.S. in mathematical finance from Boston University’s School of Management.

Matthew Witheiler joined the private equity division of Wellington Management as a later-stage investor. Previously he was general partner at Flybridge Capital Partners.

Pimco

Tao Xu was hired as an associate by Pimco. Previously, she worked as a data and reporting analyst at QBE Insurance Group and a forecasting analysis intern at March & McLennan Companies.

BlackRock

Dhruv Goyal was hired as a corporate strategy analyst by BlackRock after he graduated with a B.A. in economics from Harvard. He will work at the world’s biggest fund firm for two years, at which time he’ll return to his alma mater to get an M.B.A. Last year, he worked as a summer business analyst at McKinsey & Co.

BlackRock hired Jean Heinz as an associate of defined contribution marketing. Previously, she was assistant vice president of retirement partners marketing at LPL Financial.

Fidelity Investments

Lizzy Urman joined Fidelity Investments as a coordinator in the asset management division. She has a B.S. in management from California State University-Chico.

Fidelity hired Amy Fink as a data engineer after she graduated with a B.S. in information management and technology at Syracuse University.

Prudential Financial

Griffin Nikolayuk was hired by Prudential Financial as an investment performance analyst in the alternative assets group. Previously, he served as a staff accountant at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and an analyst at Prince Capital Advisors.

Maxwell Bruckner joined the asset management division of Prudential Financial as a marketing assistant after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Iona College.
