U.S universities more likely to impress banking recruiters
If we go with the assumption that investment banks a) target top universities for graduate recruits and b) largely attract students majoring in quantitative or finance-related topics, here’s a comprehensive list of universities most likely to get you a job.
The rankings are courtesy of research firm QS, and are all relatively predictable – the Ivy League dominates along with Oxbridge and London School of Economics in the UK. But while UK universities hold their own in the top ten, the reality is that the top colleges in the U.S. are still held in greater prestige across a broader range of subject areas.
The only real outlier, although it’s hardly a dark horse, is the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, which ranks ninth for both mathematics and physics globally.
