One Deutsche LIBOR trader's thoughts on the skills traders need

So, you want to work in trading? One of the LIBOR traders dismissed by Deutsche Bank has some deep thoughts on the subject.

Shivani Mathur, one of 29 traders dismissed by Deutsche Bank following its record LIBOR fine describes herself as a, trader by day and painter by night'. And she has produced a series of paintings on trading.

Titled, 'Attributes of a trader', these are they:

Given that the paintings are pretty abstract, Mathur has some text to elucidate. She says the series depict the qualities that are essential for a  trader: 'Thinking, Waiting, Simplicity and Discipline.'

Seemingly these weren't all in evidence in Deutsche's rates team.
