It could be a bad year
The following chart, taken from EY's European Banking Barometer 2015 suggests this will not be a good year for people working in the financial services industry. In almost all cases it will, in fact, be worse than 2014.
Surprisingly, or not, this applies equally to people working in the supposedly 'hot' areas of compliance, risk and IT.
The only jobs that look safe this year? Based upon EY's Barometer, which is in turn based upon interviews with 226 senior bankers, you could try jobs in corporate banking, private banking, and wealth management. You don't want to be working in a 'head office function.'
