Holland Park: where to live if you want a top job at UBS?
Forget Notting Hill. It seems that top UBS bankers choose Holland Park when they live in London. Or at least, that two of UBS's most senior London-based staff do.
Andrea Orcel, chief executive of UBS's investment bank, is known to have a home in Holland Park. Now it seems that Mark Yallop, country CEO of UBS in the UK is currently one of Orcel's neighbour's in West London. The Sunday Times reported that 54-year old Yallop owns a £7m house on Holland Park's Norland Square, which he's attempting to sell through Savilles estate agents.
You can see what we assume is Yallop's residence by clicking here. Indications are that he likes a lot of dark wood, white and chrome.
Yallop joined UBS in 2013 after previously spending six years at ICAP, where as chief operating officer he regularly received compensation in excess of £3m.
Other esteemed residents of Holland Park include David Beckham and Simon Cowell. If you want to encounter Beckham, Cowell, Orcel and (for the moment) Yallop at the weekend, you could always try frequenting the Belvedere Restaurant of a weekend.
