Presented (almost) without comment: JPMorgan's year-to-date daily trading profits/losses, taken from its recently filed 10Q. 

It's been a tough year for trading businesses, but JPMorgan has somehow managed to stay profitable on every single day so far. Last time we looked, Morgan Stanley had twelve days of trading losses in the first six months alone...
