BDO Bahrain, the accountancy firm, has named Arshad Gadit as partner within its audit services division, with a focus on the financial services sector.

Citadel Capital, the private equity firm, has hired Mohamed Shoeb as managing director of its energy division. He is the former head of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company.

Goldman Sachs has hired Omar Mohammady as head of its Saudi Arabia investment banking business, according to reports. He was previously at Barclays.

Lombard Odier, the Swiss private bank, has named Patrick Crowley as senior vice president in its New Markets group in Dubai. He was previously at ABN Amro.

Novus Aviation Capital has kick-started an office in the Dubai International Financial Centre.

Shuaa Capital has promoted Houssem Ben Haj Amor to chief financial officer. He was previously financial director at the firm.

Towers Watson, the professional services firm, has made two senior appointments to its UAE team. Jim Matthewman joins as the lead consultant for organisation design and workforce planning. Marjola Rintjema is a senior consultant in the talent and reward practice.
