Stephen Roti said to depart Barclay's equities group
Stephen Roti, global head of equity linked origination at Barclays Investment Bank, is said to be among those leaving the firm as the bank makes up to 2,000 people redundant, according to people close to the situation.
Barclays declined to comment. A colleague of Roti's confirmed that he had left the firm. Roti wasn't immediately available.
Roti was among the bankers to join Barclays from Lehman in 2008. He previously worked for J.P.Morgan and Credit Suisse.
Many of Barclays' redundancies are expect to happen in Asia. Roti's departure suggests that Barclays may also let go expensive equities bankers in the US.
