Here are the main job opportunities of the last week.
Tip: Wall Street South
Can’t find work in New York? Try looking a thousand miles south in Tampa, where Depository Trust & Clearing, Digital Risk and a third unnamed firm plan to create 1,000 new financial jobs, each of which pay more than $80,000 per year.
Ernst & Young is planning to hire 20,000 people in Europe, the Middle East, India and Asia over the next financial year. Roughly half of the new hires will be graduate students while the rest will be experienced financial and accounting pros.
A high demand has developed for CPAs and accounting students with knowledge of eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), a data-tagging language in which all filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission must now be submitted.
