Question:
Why have you Chosen Investment Management and at Smith & Williamson?
Student’s answer:
-It’s what interests me, hence a degree in finance and desire to work in the industry
-It’s an opportunity to interact with a wide range of clients and industries
-Smith & Williamson because it is a dynamic company that has done very well through the economic turmoil, great training programme and opportunity for quick career development in a respected and recognised company.
Question:
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Student’s answer:
-I see myself in middle to upper management with added responsibility and a team that I manage here at S&W.
- I see myself on the cusp of further promotion to high levels of management and more responsibility and also a fully qualified investment manager.
Question:
What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
Student’s answer:
-Greatest strength: Focus, eager to learn, energetic and personable
-Weaknesses: Perfectionist which can sometimes mean I spend too long on a task, but I have learned how to judge and allocate my time so that I can meet tight deadlines while still producing high quality work.
