Bank of New York Mellon Is Hiring ... in Southern California
Bank of New York Mellon is adding five new staffers to its Southern California wealth management operation. Larry Miles, the company’s regional vice president for Los Angeles, pointing to a year of double-digit asset growth in the region, said his staff has grown 10% in the past year.
"Year over year our assets under management in the region have grown by more than 20%," Miles added. "We intend to build on that momentum with the strategic addition of key staff in the coming year.”
The new hires include Rehan Chaudhry, a senior director for business development now based in Century City. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, he served in progressively responsible positions with J.P. Morgan, culminating with responsibility for more than 50 high net-worth client relationships.
Other new hires were:
• Tiffany Barbera, a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and senior portfolio manager based in the firm’s Century City office. Previously she was a principal at Bessemer Trust where she oversaw over $1 billion in assets.
• Bob Bernstein, previously chief investment officer of Four Corners Capital Management, owned by Macquarie Funds Group. He was one of three managing principals who built a $4.5 billion asset management business.
• Steven Mills, a senior portfolio manager currently based in Newport Beach. Previously he was senior client account manager at Bessemer Trust where he supervised non-profit and family relationships valued at more than $600 million. Finally:
• Grace Russak, a senior director for business development now in BNY Mellon’s Century City office previously served for 15 years with the Whittier Trust company.
