17 jobs created at new insurance R&D operation in Dublin
It’s testament to the availability of talented technologists in Ireland (and its relative price competitiveness) that an increasing number of financial services firms continue to base their R&D operations in Dublin.
The latest firm to do so is reinsurance firm Munich Re, which has today announced the creation of 17 jobs in a new R&D facility in the Irish capital.
The focus is on developing the “next generation of life insurance underwriting systems”, according to Ross Mayne, CEO of Munch Re’s Automation Solutions division.
It helps, of course, that the firm has run its Automation Solutions division out of Dublin since 1986, so has an established presence and reputation as a tech employer in Ireland.
