It looks like Merrion Capital has been doing some opportunistic hiring

Bloxham may have gone under, but there are still plenty of other securities firms in Dublin. Some even seem to have strengthened their position in recent months.

Take Merrion Capital. The Irish-based corporate finance firm, investment advisor and broker, announced last month that it had entered a 'strategic partnership' with newly-established US investment bank Teneo Capital, with the two firms taking an equal stake in each other.

It also appears that Merrion has been making the most of the fallout from Bloxham. It's hired Ian Huggard, Bloxham's former head of sales trading as a mere 'institutional equities salesman.' It's also hired a fixed income salesperson and Bloxham's former head of credit sales into a fixed income sales position.
