A list of companies that may be recruiting in the DIFC
This year has actually been more positive for the DIFC, in terms of new companies registering and expanding within the financial centre.
In the first half of this year, 51 new companies registered at the DIFC and 90 commercial licences were issued, compared to 64 in the same period last year. The number of employees, however, has remained relatively constant at 13,000.
Assuming that the new entrants are looking to expand their operations, which firms should you target? These are the new companies highlighted by the DIFC:
Coutts & Company
Swiss Re Corporate Solutions
NBAD Investment Management
ICAP Securities
CIMD
Stonehage Trust holdings
It’s also worth noting that ES Bankers, part of Espírito Santo Financial Group, has more than trebled its presence in the DIFC this year.
