Grant Thornton's increasing its Galway headcount by 150% and is hiring across Ireland

Aviva was not the only company to announce its expansion in Galway this week. Accounting firm Grant Thornton has just opened a new Galway office and says it plans to increase its Galway headcount from 10 to 25 people (at least) over the net three years.

Grant Thornton also plans to hire another 150 people across Ireland over the next three years, with the remaining 125 to be located in Dublin, Limerick, and Kildare. It's not clear how many of the new positions will go to Ireland's graduates and how many will go to experienced accountants.
