Actually, Clydesdale is making more redundancies than initially predicted in Scotland

It seemed a little too good to be true. It was. Clydesdale is making 1,400 redundancies. Initially, it was thought that only 60 of them would fall in Scotland. Now, that number has been increased to 145.

85 of the job losses will impact Clydesdale's 'financial solutions centre' in the East of Scotland, says the Scotsman. 60 more jobs will go in the West.

The BBC pointed out yesterday that Clydesdale's forecast redundancies seemed to have swollen in Scotland, but didn't offer any information on why this was. Jobs are being cut in Glasgow, Ayr, Falkirk and Lanarkshire, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness, Montrose and Perth, it said.

The big concern now must be that Clydesdale inexplicably increases its number of Scots redundancies again.
