What recruiters say:

What kind of position could this person expect to get and in which organization or market?

Chris Wells, Associate Director – Finance and Risk Perm, Randstad Financial & Professional - London:

Junior Finance Manager role in Group accounting or financial control

Paul Clutton, Business Director at Hays Senior Finance, London:

They never said how big the company was, so it is difficult to say for sure – and if that happened in real life, the recruiters might have overlooked some very relevant experience. Put some info into your CV about the location, company size etc. – it gives a recruiter a better indication on how much exposure this person had.

Thomas Greig, Senior Consultant – Michael Page Russia, Moscow:

Great CV therefore lots of options but in Moscow the best thing for his CV would be to take a larger Financial Controller Role (team management, more responsibility, larger business)

What is his/her current market value? (if you think this is appropriate to say, looking at their resume)

Chris Wells, Associate Director – Finance and Risk Perm, Randstad Financial & Professional - London:

£40-45k a year (until qualified)

Paul Clutton, Business Director at Hays Senior Finance, London:

Not knowing the size of the company he worked for is really difficult to say.

Thomas Greig, Senior Consultant – Michael Page Russia, Moscow:

100-120K Rubles per Month, 3.3 to 4K USD Per month is what he earns now and would expect he might be able to get as high as 150K Rubles per month or 5k USD per month.

What can the person do to improve his/her CV?

Chris Wells, Associate Director – Finance and Risk Perm, Randstad Financial & Professional - London:

Qualify fully and then expand the cv to 2 pages+ because there is not enough details about what the candidate actually does

e.g.

“ Audit consultant, CIP at Price Waterhouse Coopers July 2008 - March 2009 analytical procedures,”

Is nowhere enough detail!

Paul Clutton, Business Director at Hays Senior Finance, London:

This CV is very very short, normally you’d expect somebody to have a CV of about two pages. They tried to restrict all info to one page, but as a result there isn’t enough information on what they did on a day-to-day basis. I also always recommend that people have a section of what they achieved instead of daily activities (which improvements in procedures he introduced as a financial controller, for example).

Thomas Greig, Senior Consultant – Michael Page Russia, Moscow:

Finish your ACCA, settle down and make sure that you do not change you job too much, 3 jobs in 5 years is too many and some employers will reject you on this matter.
