Friday thought: Is it acceptable to wear the same clothes more than two days running to work in an investment bank?

We've been wondering this all week, but as it's Friday (afternoon) we only feel comfortable in asking it now: can one wear the same stuff to work on consecutive days if one is working in an investment bank?

The question arises as a result of Bruno Iksil's penchant for, "sometimes wearing the same clothing several days in a row," as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Now is a particularly pertinent time to ask as banks are about to suffer an influx of summer interns with restricted wardrobes. Please express your opinion via the poll box below. Was Bruno an oddity in the City, or is it fine to wear the same clothes for several days at a time?

here we all were thinking it was about generating moolah. If it matters what you're wearing, people aren't focussing on the day job, right? Banks are not a WAG-fest. If they are, it explains a bit about why they're all battling to keep ratings up.
