Yes, Renaissance Capital is making redundancies

A few weeks' ago, we speculated that Renaissance Capital might have over-expanded and would be making redundancies. Now it appears that this is indeed the case.

Citing, "two people familiar with the matter," Bloomberg reported last week that RenCap is getting rid of 15% of its staff, all of whom will be working in investment banking. This follows staff cuts of 10% last September.

Renaissance Capital is well known for having reduced its headcount by 40% in 2008. Since then, it's been building its staff back up again. In 2010 it announced plans to hire between 200 and 250 people.
