This is what's been happening to jobs at RBS

Last week's RBS results contained the interesting chart below showing the evolution of headcount across the bank. They suggest that RBS has already cut a lot of jobs - from its 'group centre,' but fewer from elsewhere.

In the past year, the bank has cut 1,800 people from the group centre and 200 from direct line, but has added in other areas - including the investment bank where 3,500 job cuts are tabled. According to the BBC, RBS is cutting a mere 16 jobs in Scotland
