Quilter's wealth management hiring spree comes to Scotland
Fresh from a Bridgepoint-funded buyout, wealth management fund Quilter is in hiring mode. It recruited two people to expand its London office in May and says it's hired 8 people for its regional offices in the UK since the start of 2012. This includes its most recent hire: Scott Peebles in Edinburgh.
A seasoned Scottish wealth manager, Peebles has worked in Scottish financial services for 26 years, most recently at Close Brothers.
Quilter didn't indicate whether it wants to make more hires in Scotland, but it did give the impression that the Scottish wealth management market is in growth mode. Peebles was apparently hired to meet increased demand after an, "extremely busy," 12 months.
