Hot tips for getting a job at VTB
Do you want to work at VTB? Are you wondering how to impress your interviewer? You're in luck: VTB has published a selection of careers advice tips on its website.
Board member Olga Degunova explains that it will help if you speak a foreign language and that VTB likes people who can think strategically and make plans that will allow them to achieve goals over the next few years.
There's advice for writing a resume: be truthful, write clearly, present the information simply, don't be too short or too long (1-3 pages of A4 are desirable). Somewhere in your resume, you should specify how much you want to get paid and the role you're applying for, says VTB.
The bank also distinguishes between two different types of resume: functional resume, where the work you've done in the past is grouped together in blocks, rather than listed in order of date; and chronological resumes - where you simply list your work history in order of the dates it happened. Functional resumes are good if you're applying for project work and need to show you've worked on similar projects before, says VTB. Chronological resumes should be standard.
Interviews
VTB also offers some advice on how to succeed in an interview.
Firstly: prepare. Find out information about the company you're interviewing with (VTB). What's it's size and structure? What's its mission? Where are its regional offices? Use this to discuss what you can contribute to the company.
Secondly: don't be late. Try and arrive 10-15 minutes early.
Thirdly: be honest. Don't try hiding your weaknesses.
Fourthly: dress appropriately.
Fifthly: turn off your mobile phone.
Good luck!
